Donya Children Research Institute was set up to make the citizens of Iran aware that being raised with peace is elementary for each human being. One of the example of their activity was collecting together the elements of childhood: fairytales, toys, games and clothes- from ancient Iran up to the time of its revolution in 1979- to prove that their culture has been focused on peace since it’s time in memorial. As a nation conflicted not only with the outside world but with itself as well, it is essential to return to the idea of a life lived without hatred. The group has worked with great determination to become a participant of Brave Kids. Nasser Yousofi claims: “Participating in this project will lead to peace and reconciliation beyond Iran’s boarders. What’s more it will be an opportunity to present ourselves as Iranians who have a peaceful attitude”. This year’s participants are children aged from 12-14, who will present the richness of Persian culture trough music, theatre, dance, and folk games and children’s literature.
