Wałbrzych is a traditional mining town severely affected by unemployment since one of its biggest coal mines was shut down. The “Old Mine” successfully converted into a new creative and vibrant space, is today, after 20 years, the Center for Science and the Arts, hosting various educational and artistic events. This traditional group – which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2015– will present dances such as the famous Krakowiak and Kujawiak, and songs, such as Szła Dzieweczka from upper Silesia.
