Uganda, a country located within the African Great Lakes and rich in natural resources, seems to be a place where people live ample lives in beautiful surroundings. It is famous for its safari tours and it attracts many travellers from around the world. Still, its inhabitants continue to suffer consequences of reigns of former dictators, poverty, epidemics (e.g. malaria), and country’s division into North and South (with a war led by fanatic Lord’s Resistance Army since 1987). In Movment. Art for Social Change is an organization which tries to trigger social changes by means of multidimensional art. It gathers many young people who participate in dancing, acting, music, painting, and circus arts classes. Workshops help children in leading a normal life in the society, enable them to build self-esteem, and teach them communication skills, empathy and tolerance.
